The Harm of Too Little Gasoline, Don't Say Maybe You Really Don't Know!

Nowadays, most of the fuel pumps of vehicles are immersed in gasoline in the fuel tank, which generally belongs to the category of maintenance-free delivery. However, it may be damaged in advance due to improper use or external factors. So what is the working principle of the fuel pump? What causes fuel pump damage?

1 What is the working principle of fuel pump?

When the car key is connected to ACC gear, the fuel pump will connect 2s to pre-pressurize the fuel line. After the vehicle is officially started, each cylinder ejects pre-pressurized fuel according to the timing of the vehicle. Because the fuel pressure is relatively low when the ACC gear is connected to car key, it is recommended that you stay at about 2s when the ACC gear is connected to car key to pressurize and then start the engine of the vehicle.

2 What causes fuel pump damage?

When the fuel pump works, it generates heat and needs reasonable heat dissipation. However, because the fuel flow can take away the heat generated by the fuel pump, the fuel pump does not have a special heat dissipation system. However, many drivers like to refuel when the fuel of the vehicle is almost exhausted. In fact, the fuel pump will not get sufficient heat dissipation, and the fuel pump will be damaged in advance for a long time; however, if the unclean fuel is added and impurities block the filter screen of the fuel pump, the fuel pump will not be effectively dissipated, thus the fuel pump will also be damaged in advance.

Small editor comments

The editor suggests that drivers should try not to drive at a low oil level for a long time, so as not to affect the heat dissipation of the fuel pump; Instead, they should not add inferior fuel oil because of the low price, and at the same time, they should clean up the fuel system regularly, fuel auxiliary cleaner can be added when conditions permit.
