If the Engine Sensor Is Broken, What Will Happen?


1. The intake pressure temperature sensor is damaged:

① ON gear, engine trouble light is always ON;

② when stepping on the accelerator slowly in place, a small amount of black smoke will be generated, and a large amount of black smoke will be generated immediately;

③ the engine is boring;

④ fault code: P01D6 (the voltage of the intake pressure sensor is lower than the lower limit)

Cause Analysis: if the intake pressure signal is abnormal, the ECU cannot receive the correct intake air volume information, resulting in an abnormal fuel charge, the combustion is insufficient, the engine is boring, and black smoke occurs during the refueling process. Wiring harness connection problems and sensor failures will cause this failure.

Solution: check the intake pressure temperature sensor.

2. Water temperature sensor damage:

① ON gear, engine trouble light is always ON;

② ON-gear water temperature always shows the maximum value of 120 ℃;

③ the engine is limited to torsion and boring;

④ fault code: P003D (water temperature sensor voltage is lower than the lower limit)

Cause Analysis: water temperature sensor failure, ECU detects that water temperature sensor output signal is untrustworthy and uses substitution value. ECU limits the torque of the engine for the purpose of protecting the engine.

Solution: Check water temperature sensor.

3. Oil pressure sensor damage:

① after starting, the oil pressure indicator light is always on;

② engine trouble light is always on;

③ idle speed, the oil pressure value is 0.99;

④ fault code: P01CA (oil pressure sensor voltage is higher than the upper limit)

Cause Analysis: Oil pressure sensor probe is seriously damaged, ECU detects that oil pressure sensor is not connected, and the instrument display value is the internal replacement value of ECU.

Solution: check oil pressure sensor.

4. Poor contact of OBD socket terminals:

① ON gear, diagnosis equipment power supply is normal, but it cannot enter ECU to read relevant information;

② no fault code.

Cause Analysis: OBD socket terminal exits, resulting in poor contact, diagnosis equipment can not communicate with ECU.

Solution: check the OBD socket terminal.

5. Camshaft sensor connector clip is not inserted, resulting in engine startup difficulties:

① after startup, OBD trouble light is always on;

② it is difficult to start the engine;

③ fault code: P0032-CAN B passive fault, P00EC-no camshaft signal detected. Cause Analysis: ① passive fault of CAN B is a data problem and should be shielded;

② there is no camshaft signal, which makes it impossible to accurately judge the dyelot when starting, making it difficult to start.

Solutions: ① for P0032 faults, rewrite the latest version of electronic control data released after September, 2014 to block the fault code;

② check camshaft sensor connector for P00EC failure
