What Is the Function and Working Principle of Automotive Electronic Throttle Gate Regulator?

The throttle gate regulator is installed on the intake air collector, and the two internal hall sensor monitor the position of the throttle gate (Figure 1, 27) in a non-contact manner. The control unit calculates the position of the throttle gate according to the position signal of the accelerator pedal and the torque demand signal of other control units, and then electrically switches on or off the throttle gate regulator.

Throttle gate the position sensor of regulator adopts the design scheme of magnetoresistive sensor, and its working principle is the same as that of eccentric sensor. The control unit provides 5V voltage and ground connection for the position sensor, and the two data lines can ensure that the control unit is provided with redundant solar term position feedback signals.

The servo motor controlling throttle gate is a DC motor, and the control unit controls the motor as needed. The servo motor is controlled by H bridge, which can make the motor run in the opposite direction, and the control unit can monitor the H bridge. When the driving device is not powered on, the throttle gate enters the emergency operation position under the action of spring force.
