Novice Learning How to Change Oil

Car blood-oil

If the engine is the heart of the car, the engine oil is the blood of the car. It plays a role in lubricating, cleaning, cooling, corrosion prevention, rust prevention, sealing and so on for the engine. There are many metal surfaces that rub against each other in the engine, and lubricating oil is needed to reduce wear, and debris generated by metal friction is also gathered and released, which is the main reason why the engine oil turns black.

Usually do maintenance, generally do not pay attention to how long the oil is left, if there is oil residue, it will have a great impact on the car.

Why do I need to change the oil?

When the engine oil works, it will be affected by high temperature combustion and the catalytic effect of various metals, and gradually aging, resulting in carbon deposit, sludge and other substances that damage the engine. They are generated in different positions of the engine and accumulated in the oil circuit, which will accelerate wear and tear, lead to poor lubrication and affect the service life of the engine.

As car owners, we should not only learn to choose the right engine oil, but also master some replacement cycles and related common sense.

Novice learning how to change oil

1. Choose the engine oil suitable for the engine, not the most expensive, but the most appropriate.

2. Before changing the oil, you 'd better drive out for a walk, let the engine oil lubricate evenly in the engine, and bring out the deposited impurities inside the engine.

3. Open the oil drain port at the bottom of the engine and start to drain oil. Be sure to pay attention to it. After the oil drain is completed, it must be empty for 15 minutes to completely drain the residual oil in the engine.

4. Carefully observe the oil flowing out. If it is very viscous, layered and slightly smelly, it is necessary to shorten the cycle of changing the oil.

If there is a strong smell of gasoline, it means that the sealing of the engine combustion chamber is not good, and it is better to overhaul it.

5. Close the oil port Bolt and replace the brand new oil filter.

6. Open the fuel filler, pour in new oil, pay attention to check the upper limit of oil dipstick, and cannot exceed the upper limit scale.

7. After refueling, start the engine, start the car, idle for a few minutes, and turn off.

8. Check dipstick again to see if you need to replenish the oil volume.
