[Case] Audi A6L 2.0T Car Can Only Run 100 Miles Per Hour

Failure phenomenon

Audi A6L 2.0T car has insufficient power, the maximum speed can only run about 100 miles, and the frequency of failure has always been.

Fault diagnosis and remove

Audi A6 2.0T engine model: BPJ, gearbox model: 01T, fault mileage: 188790KM.

1. Fault detection and analysis

There are fault records such as 00665 (The supercharging pressure control is lower than the control limit value) in the 5054 detection 01. The possible reasons for fault guidance analysis are as follows:

1. The supercharging pressure is lower than the specification

2. Turbocharger air recirculation valve-N249 is faulty

3. Leakage between turbocharger and intake manifold

4. The hose connection of the supercharged pressure control solenoid valve-N75 is faulty.

5. Boost pressure control solenoid valve-N75 is faulty

6. Supercharged pressure in turbocharger control air leakage from air door

7. Turbocharger is faulty

8. Catalytic converter shutdown

Through inspection and analysis, two items with the highest failure rate in normal times were mainly checked: air recirculation valve of supercharger and catalytic converter. During the inspection, the three-way catalyst was found to be blocked (as shown in Figure 1).

2. Troubleshooting

Elimination measures: Replace catalytic converter

Maintenance summary

At present, there are many reasons for the insufficient power of A6L2.0T engine in actual maintenance. Some photos of common faults in the workshop are provided here for your reference, and you should pay more attention.

1. N249 diaphragm is damaged (see figure 2).

2. The three-way catalytic converter is blocked (see figure 3).

3. The inlet cooler pipe is not blocked normally (see figure 4).

4. The connection hose of N75 is broken.

5. The turbocharger leaks oil, causing a large amount of oil stored in the cooler to cause the intake to be blocked and unable to run.

6. High pressure pump Cam damage leads to insufficient pressure.

7. Timing deviation between the two camshafts, etc.
